Wow, longest streak ever of no blogging about the family. Mom and dad have kept Brady and I busy since Halloween!
I was Baptized in November. My Godparents are my fun aunt Rhonda and uncle Paul. It was sad that Uncle Paul was traveling for work and couldn't make it, but uncle Doug took his place. We had a nice time, and great after party.
Right after the baptism, we were in Thanksgiving and Christmas mode. Wow, what a hectic time of the year. On the go 24/7 to everyone's house to eat, eat, and eat some more!! I do enjoy playing with all my new friends!
Boy, is Christmas quite an event?! We start off at Grandma and Grandpa's. Then everyone gets all dressed up to head to Grandpa's family's house. It was so much fun. I was passed around from person to person to person. Brady was hanging out with all the cool kids playing Xbox. They gave him a controller with no batteries and he thought he was some NBA star!! He was actually pretty popular that night too! Then Great-Gram showed up, and came back to sleep over grandma and grandpa's house. Then the next morning we all went down stairs and opened presents. I really didn't know what to do, but Brady sure did! So, I followed his lead and unwrapped a few gifts. It was pretty exciting, and I look forward to doing it again next year!
Just a few weeks after New Years, swim started back up again. I was so excited. The first eight weeks back in Sept flew by. I was such a big boy. I started going under water more. I think the instructors like me! Brady is just fantastic. He is jumping in further, and also swimming off the side towards daddy all by himself. He wasn't able to get promoted this past season due to the age restriction, but will be in the bigger kid class in Sept of this year. I will be in the 18mo old class. So, I will be moving up, too. I plan on getting lots and lots of practice this summer in our pool.
Oh, and I turned one! Apparently, that is a big deal for kids. Mom invited all my friends to a small party at a neat indoor play place. It was so cool that the adults stayed too. There were cupcakes, and mom hung up Bubble Guppies decorations everywhere. Since that is Brady's favorite show, it's pretty much all I know!
And what else...
I am cruising around the furniture, and walking with my toys for balance. Mom and dad are trying to get me to do it on my own. I am still trying to master the whole concept of just standing on my own without holding anything. How do big kids and adults make it look so easy??
I should be going on my first bike ride soon. I can't wait for that. Mom and dad talk about it all the time and Brady gets so psyched when he sees their bikes!
Mom will post a million pix as soon as Brady and I let her have a break!
