Holy Moly! We really do keep mom busy! Let's see, what has happened since early 2014?
Well, we were both sick for our 4yo / 2yo birthday party. What luck!! Mom and dad rented us the Tyngsboro Sports Center. We had fun though. Lots of family and friends came out to celebrate. Our theme was Minions! Mom posted pictures here.
So, Mom and Dad are kicking off a new tradition... visit New York City and the Adventure Aquarium in NJ every Labor Day weekend! That is so exciting! There are so many lights, and stores, and buses (since neither of us eat, only mom and dad enjoyed the restaurants). We drove around the city on a huge bus, and spent a lot of time in Central Park. I thought the Boston Common was big! After a long day we hit the road to NJ and went to the aquarium the next day. The best animal there were the two hippos! They are amazing! Mom just booked the same hotel for this year. The pool is amazing!!
Super Heros are the coolest ever! So it was no doubt that Brady was going to be Iron Man for Halloween. And for me, Dinosaurs rock, so mom bought a great Dino suit for me! We wore them everywhere! 1) The City of Lowell Halloween Parade - where, BTW, I took home 1st place for the coolest costume in my category! 2) The Cowabunga Halloween Party 3) All Hallows Eve 5k 4) Halloween, of course!! We got lots of candy this year. But, mom took most of it to the dentist to send to send to our military overseas, and we got $10!!
Christmas is always fun! We met Santa a bunch of times - our dentist's office, a River Hawks game, GLRR party, the mall, and on Christmas Eve! He totally listened to us, and was very generous. Mom's tree was also fantastic!
I was accepted to the Kindergarten that was #1 on mom and dads list!! I am excited and scared at the same time. I love where I am now - Brenda is just awesome, and I have learned so much with her. But, I need to go to big kid school now! Mom and dad have taken me there a few times so I can meet my new teachers. And, I get to take a bus! Wow!!
On April 30th we took our first plane ride to another country! We had so much fun on the plane, and behaved (well, at least we THINK we were good). Jamaica is amazing. Hot sun, awesome beaches, and everyone is so nice! Our hotel was close to the airport, and the ride was quite adventurous! Seeing the pool off the balcony of he lobby got us very excited!! We changed right away and hopped in. Mom and dad then said there was a water park with slides... WHAT?! How exciting is this!! We didn't stop all week. Even took naps on the beach under the shaded huts. We went on a glass bottom boat ride...we saw fish and coral way below the surface. Then... Corey didn't look so well. Fortunately, he didn't get sick, but we turned around a little early to get him back on shore. Afterwards, we went out to the jetty and found crabs galore!! It was sad going home, we had a fun week swimming and playing. Mom posted a ton of pictures here!
Mom and dad took us back to Tyngsboro Sports Center for our party! It was just as fun as the first time! So many family and friends! This year's theme was PJ Masks - the best cartoon ever!! I was Gekko, and Brady was Catboy. We are so very lucky to have such great family and friends!! Mom posted a lot of pictures from our day here!
Wow, longest streak ever of no blogging about the family. Mom and dad have kept Brady and I busy since Halloween!
I was Baptized in November. My Godparents are my fun aunt Rhonda and uncle Paul. It was sad that Uncle Paul was traveling for work and couldn't make it, but uncle Doug took his place. We had a nice time, and great after party.
Right after the baptism, we were in Thanksgiving and Christmas mode. Wow, what a hectic time of the year. On the go 24/7 to everyone's house to eat, eat, and eat some more!! I do enjoy playing with all my new friends!
Boy, is Christmas quite an event?! We start off at Grandma and Grandpa's. Then everyone gets all dressed up to head to Grandpa's family's house. It was so much fun. I was passed around from person to person to person. Brady was hanging out with all the cool kids playing Xbox. They gave him a controller with no batteries and he thought he was some NBA star!! He was actually pretty popular that night too! Then Great-Gram showed up, and came back to sleep over grandma and grandpa's house. Then the next morning we all went down stairs and opened presents. I really didn't know what to do, but Brady sure did! So, I followed his lead and unwrapped a few gifts. It was pretty exciting, and I look forward to doing it again next year!
Just a few weeks after New Years, swim started back up again. I was so excited. The first eight weeks back in Sept flew by. I was such a big boy. I started going under water more. I think the instructors like me! Brady is just fantastic. He is jumping in further, and also swimming off the side towards daddy all by himself. He wasn't able to get promoted this past season due to the age restriction, but will be in the bigger kid class in Sept of this year. I will be in the 18mo old class. So, I will be moving up, too. I plan on getting lots and lots of practice this summer in our pool.
Oh, and I turned one! Apparently, that is a big deal for kids. Mom invited all my friends to a small party at a neat indoor play place. It was so cool that the adults stayed too. There were cupcakes, and mom hung up Bubble Guppies decorations everywhere. Since that is Brady's favorite show, it's pretty much all I know!
And what else...
I am cruising around the furniture, and walking with my toys for balance. Mom and dad are trying to get me to do it on my own. I am still trying to master the whole concept of just standing on my own without holding anything. How do big kids and adults make it look so easy??
I should be going on my first bike ride soon. I can't wait for that. Mom and dad talk about it all the time and Brady gets so psyched when he sees their bikes!
Mom will post a million pix as soon as Brady and I let her have a break!
Corey is growing up so fast!! About 2 weeks ago he began to crawl - officially! It began with a very funny looking swim like attempt, then a week later he was on the move! Still a little more upper body doing the work, but he is getting the hang of it very quickly!! I am proud to call him my little bro!
Well, Halloween has come and gone for another year, and I fit in the same costume as last year (daddy predicted that)! Mom certainly got her monies worth! Corey was a monkey - and he pulled it off very well! I would say just as cute as me from 2 years ago. We had a huge party at daycare, and the teacher and her husband were Woody and Jessie from Toy Story (my new favorite thing right now)!
We had so much fun walking around the neighborhood - glad the weather was really good!! I got lots and lots of candy - but mom and dad ate most of it!! Mom took me to our neighbors haunted house, and I was so brave, and mom was so proud of me! I hope we get to go back next year, and maybe Corey will be just as brave as me! I already have my costume for next year - Mike from Monsters, Inc!!
And swimming is going great. We are seven weeks into class, and I am spending lots of time under water!! Shannon is also letting go of me when I go under the green arch to dad. She told dad that I am ready for the next level in January. Kids need to be 3yo to enter that level, but I will only be 32 months old. I really hope that Corey follows in my footsteps. So far, he is! He hasn't cried once in the pool, and I was a huge cry baby when I was his age!! So, he may be even better than me!
Mom posted some great pics from Halloween, and awesome videos of Corey CRAWLING and both of us swimming.
It's been a while! That's because the end of the summer was soooo busy for us all. Everyone invited us to cookouts, mom and dad ran in a bunch of races, and we were just constantly on the go-go-go!!
Now it's swim season - yippee!!! It's my first time with these lessons, but it's Brady's millionth!! He's so good, and I hope I can swim as well as him someday!! Check out my pictures below!
The fall has been really fun so far. We went to a Harvest Festival, hiking, and next week we are going to a great-big pumpkin patch. Mom said that we better be on our best behavior since she will be taking our holiday pictures there!! We'll see how that one goes!!
Then, later this month is a holiday called Halloween. Mom showed me this monkey suit I have to wear. Brady may be a lion again... dad jokes how he should still be able to fit in last years costume!
Mom will certainly show pictures after that fun evening!!
What a fun day Brady and I had. I got to enjoy some time outside, and then I slept for a whole lotta time inside. Mommy and Daddy hung outside and swam and ate. My big bro is a great swimmer!! After getting home everyone put on their PJs and vegged out!
What a summer so far! I can't believe soccer is almost over, but then I will get to spend Saturday mornings in the pool!! I FINALLY just began swimming on my own (with the help of a padded swimsuit), and it is so much fun!! Mom took a video of me swimming!
And I also turned TWO!! Mom and dad had a small family party at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was really fun having everyone together! Mom picked my favorite cartoon as the theme - Octonauts!!!
There is still so much summer left, I can't wait to see what else is in store! Baby Corey has been spending lots of time outside with me - hopefully he can run around with me soon! I have lots to teach him!!
With Spring - comes playing outdoors all the time!! I get to finally play with the golf set that I got for my birthday last year. I can't get enough of it. Daddy said that I hit the ball further than him sometimes! I do just have to control my tendency to aim at people and hit the ball at them... apparently that's not proper etiquette.
Daddy lowered the basket ball hoop for me in the driveway! Let's just say, I will stick to my Lil Tikes hoop in the playroom - it's more my height!! =0)
I also got a soccer net. I really enjoy kicking the ball across the yard. So, now I just have to learn to kick it into this net to get some goal, or something. I enjoy it soccer so much, I got signed up for Lil Strikers! I get to kick the ball around this big field with other kids, and just have lots of fun! Mom posted pictures and video on the site!
And lastly, the pool is ready!! I miss swimming at UML, so I can't wait to swim all summer long at my own home. I put my hands in it last night, and it was really, really cold. So, I may have some time before I can enjoy it.
Man, with all these activities, it's hard to pick a favorite! And there will be so many more for me to try out... football, lacrosse, track & field (mom's pushing for the field part...) Mom posted a poll to see what people think will be my favorite by the end of this summer!
I really can't wait for Corey to be able to run around with me. Right now he just hangs in the Baby Bjorn with mom as she walks around outside with me.
So now mom doesn't have an excuse to not update periodically! Weebly allows phone entries. So, mom uploaded a pic of Brady hugging me! Awww!
I've been home for just over two weeks now, and mom and dad haven't broken me yet! I guess I will stick with them.
My first weekend home I got to meet my Great-Gram (mom's Nana). She's wonderful, and couldn't get enough of me. This is the two of us together below.
My big brother is super, too! He likes to help burp me, feed me, put blankets on me (over my face sometimes), and gives me lots and lots of kisses. Mom took a picture of Brady giving me his first kiss.
Other than meeting some family and friends, I tend to eat, sleep and poop. I really like eating every 2.5 hours. I don't think mom and dad like that too much. They keep telling me I should sleep for at least 4 hours! And to make matters worse, I hate being swaddled, but LOVE being held all the time and often cry to get my way when I am put down. I already have them wrapped around my little finger!!
Mom has added more pictures to the Pictures page of my hospital stay. I have to say, being home is so much more fun!!
Mommy got the green light to take me home on an increased calorie diet! YAHOO!! But, I do have to stick around for some quick routine procedure. Hope it can be done today so I don't have to come back to this place - unless I am just visiting!!
But, until I get to go home, at least I get to hang out with mom in her room. I'll probably just fall asleep in there anyways!
