So, mom woke up to good news this morning! I had great numbers overnight, and at 7:30am I was weaned to 2ml of sugar. We hung out for a while, and fell asleep shortly after breakfast.
At my 10:30am feeding I made sure to eat real well so I could have a good number at the 1:30pm test.
At 1:30, dad surprised me! That was exciting! I pulled a 71, so they dropped me to 1ml of sugar. YIPPEE!!
Mom, Grandma and Grandpa showed up for my 7:30pm test, and they were greeted with a huge thumbs up from the nurse. Since I had woken up a little early, the nurse began taking my vitals, and poked my heel for the blood test. I passed with a 76 and she removed the IV line (I still have the pic in my arm as a precaution). Mom picked me up and did a little dance since she could maneuver me around with out the IV cart. That was super fun!
So, as of right now, the plan is to see how I maintain my levels with out the IV. There have been discussions about weaning down my calories, but not sure on the timing of that. We'll know more tomorrow!!!
